I will be making connections to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire to the the Star Wars trilogy. Despite being from opposite genres, (Sci-Fi and Fantasy) they are very alike. The story starts with our hero outside of "his" world. In the case of Luke Skywalker, he's stuck as a farmer on Tatoonine. For Harry, he's stuck with his muggle uncle and aunt in Privet Drive. Luke is forced (because of the Empire's evil) to go to Aldeeran with Obi-Wan Kenobi, and become a Jedi. Harry is saved by the Weasley family, who take him to their house to see the Quidditch World Cup. Luke goes to Aldeeran, and finds out the Empire have destroyed it, while Harry and the Weasleys are attacked by Death Eaters at the World Cup. As their stories go on, they both repeatedly escape from their enemies, but in the end, must face the antaigonist. Friday 28 October 2011

Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived. (Blogpost #3)
I am currently reading Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire. The main character is Harry Potter, (Of course).
"Harry Potter managed to escape Lord Voldemort, he risked his own life to return Cedric's body to Hogwarts. He showed, in every respect, the sort of bravery that few wizard's have ever showen in facing Lord Voldemort." -Albus Dumbledore (J.K.Rowling, Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire, page 626)
Harry Potter has escaped the evil socerer Lord Voldemort not once, not twice, but four times as of now. Although the first time was due to his mother's love, the last three times, Harry was alone against Voldemort. Using quick-thinking and bravery, he manages to get out from Voldemort's grasp, although Voldemort later states Harry is only alive because of his (Voldemort's) errors, it is more because of Harry's skill.
At the point in the novel I'm in, the book is almost over, but I think that series plot Harry and his friends and allies will fight against Lord Voldemort, who will fight against them with his Death Eaters. In the end, I think Harry will win against Voldemort and will live a normal life.
I chose this song because it represents Harry's main characteristic, bravery. He never backs down no matter how dangerous the challenge, and he always fights for whats right.

I have started re-reading Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire by J.K. Rowling. Harry Potter is stuck at the Dursley's (again) for the summer. After waking from a nightmare, which didn't just seem real, it was real, his scar is aching. After writing Siruis Black (his godfather) he is invited to go to the Quidditch (the wizarding sport) World Cup, with his friends The Weasleys. They arrive at the Cup, and Harry learns about other nationalities of wizards.
I am re-reading Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire- By J.K. Rowling. This is one of my favourite books in one of my favourite series, (the Harry Potter series.)
I have just finished reading the book Little Brother. This book is about a seventeen year-old boy who is forced to declare virtual warfare on the U.S. Goverment. This book is a good read, it has very real characters, and is true to real life. After reading this book i not only had the usual urge to shout "Adventure!" and go on a life changing quest, but i realised that in day to day life, there is still an adveture to be found.
